ETHDenver 2022 was a whirlwind of blockchain goodness and Polygon was a major presence. More than 30 Polygon team members from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia reunited in the winter wonderland of Denver. Here are some of the highlights.

Web3 Creator Meetup

Polygon Studios kicked things off at "Web3 Creator Meet" on Feb. 15, bringing together under one roof musicians, artists, developers, and content creators. The four-hour event offered attendees ample creative networking opportunities over a free brunch. Catching independent NFT musician Queen George live at Your Mom's House, one of Denver's funkiest live music venues, was a nice bonus.

Let It Snow

Things really got into gear later that evening when Polygon Studios joined Coinbase, Decentraland, Aave Grants DAO, and Sushi in co-hosting a grand reception at The Church Nightclub. With the gorgeous historic interior of the former Episcopal church as backdrop, attendees from all over the world discussed their NFT and Metaverse projects. There was music, dancing and a few NFTs were minted live.

Builders Brekkie

Previous night’s festivities notwithstanding, people were up early and bushy-tailed next morning for “Builders Brekkie” hosted by Polygon Studios. The breakfast event at Woods Boss Brewing Company provided attendees with dedicated space to relax, network, and work on their projects. It was followed by an acoustic set.

All About the ZKVerse

On the evening of Feb. 16, Polygon hosted a workshop at Mirus Gallery offering insights into zero knowledge proofs, a technology widely seen as the end game for blockchain scaling. Jordi Baylina, who heads development of zkEVM at Polygon Hermez, gave a presentation on a novel consensus mechanism: Proof-of-Efficiency.

Opening Ceremony

Polygon has made major investments in ZK, a portfolio that includes Polygon Hermez, privacy-focused Polygon Nightfall rollup built in collaboration with EY, Polygon Miden’s general purpose STARK-based rollup and Polygon Zero team applying a technique called recursion to ZK proofs. So it’s not a surprise that co-founder Sandeep Nailwal made it the focus of his opening ceremony keynote titled “ZK is the Future.” He later spoke on a “Deep Dive into DAOs” panel.

GM ZKVerse

On the morning of Feb. 18, Polygon hosted an invite-only breakfast gathering at The Ramble Hotel exclusively for its clients, partners, and investors. This was the perfect opportunity to listen to Polygon founders talk about the company's work in the ZK rollup space.

So, that's it for this year! Polygon is thrilled to meet you again next year at ETHDenver 2023. Until then, keep up with our blog for the latest on the Polygon ecosystem!
