What value does a blockchain-based Internet provide?

Last year, Community Policy Initiative No 1. asked you all – the wider Web3 community –  to crowdsource amazing blockchain use cases that have already been built across a wide variety of sectors. And thanks to you, hundreds of submissions came pouring in! The results were organized into a chain-agnostic, open source interactive site, The Value Prop (TVP), with immediate, tangible benefits.

After only six months, TVP now catalogs 500+ applications across 40+ use cases and 12 networks. Regulators, policymakers, friends’ moms, “normie” friends – so many people reached out to let us know that TVP provided much needed context for the benefits of blockchain.

And now we need your help again. Today we are launching Community Policy Initiative No. 3, which recognizes just how integral you – the users – are to the web3 ecosystem

We want to hear from you – about your own experiences, using your favorite blockchain app, and why it matters to you. It’s time for you to tell your own story. Here’s how:

The details:

  • Who: You!
  • What: Record a one minute video testimonial that describes how blockchain-based dApps have changed your life.
  • Where: Submit to policy@polygon.technology (Terms below*)
  • Why: Help cut through the noise and bring meaningful Web3 use cases to life.
  • When: Send us your video by February 14 (show us the love!)

Select videos may be featured on TVP, providing a platform for your voice and story to tell the world what you love about this technology.

Some questions you could answer while making your video:

  • What blockchain-based apps do you use?
  • How are these applications useful to you?
  • Why are these blockchain-specific applications? In other words, are there alternatives that don’t use blockchain? Why does blockchain make it different/better/unique?
  • What impact has blockchain had on your life? What gets you excited about the technology?

Growing TVP with Community Policy Initiative No. 3 is the path to bringing the Web3 community's voice to life.

All Community Policy Initiatives are intended to allow individuals, teams, and companies to advocate, directly and indirectly, for the technology that has shaped and improved their lives.

Tune into the blog and our social channels to keep up with updates about the Polygon ecosystem.

Together, we can build an equitable future for all through the mass adoption of Web3.
