Magic Labs will work closely with Polygon Labs in a collaboration to bring Newton’s vision to life. 

The goal of Newton is to simplify access to users, apps and liquidity across all of crypto, starting with the unification of EVM chains in the AggLlLayer.

Newton aligns with the Magic Labs vision to abstract away complexities of Web3 and dismantle onchain silos. It also aligns with the vision of the AggLayer, a cross-chain settlement solution to unify liquidity, users, and execution environments, with finality posted to Ethereum.

It’s all about unifying a fragmented ecosystem. 

If the AggLayer is the TCP/IP moment for Web3, Newton can be thought of as the HTML or HTTP analog that a post-fragmentation Web3 will need to make the user and developer experience as seamless as possible. 

The end goal is to make Web3 experience indistinguishable from the convenience of Web2.

The eventual goal is for the technology built by Magic Labs to support any chain connected to the AggLayer, regardless of consensus mechanism or execution environment, further breaking down barriers for users.
