Polygon has teamed up with Moralis and Google Cloud as an official Gold-Tier-Sponsor for the Moralis x Google 2022 Defining DeFi Hackathon

From Oct. 3 to Nov. 11, hundreds of developers around the world will build the DeFi applications of their dreams, competing for prizes, bounties, and rewards from a pool of $155,000, with $50,000 set aside specifically for the Polygon Track.

DeFi is a nascent sector, and the future is yet to be written. At the end of July, there was a market cap of $24 billion across all DeFi applications, including decentralized exchanges and DAOs. The Moralis x Google “Defining DeFi” Hackathon offers developers a chance to help shape this decentralized world, democratizing finance more evenly. Hackathon participants will build DeFi projects while also getting hands-on education in blockchain-powered technology.

Polygon is excited to work with Moralis as they bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3. Moralis provides reliable, enterprise-grade Web3 APIs that are fully compatible with any tech stack. As a result, more than 100,000 companies have taken advantage of Moralis to build, launch, and scale projects–including many of the 37,000+ dApps deployed on Polygon.

The Moralis x Google 2022 Hackathon is a perfect opportunity for Web2 developers to jump into DeFi and Web3, share and learn from the community, and define the future of DeFi. Polygon offers new developers the security and community of Ethereum with the speed, low-gas fees, and carbon-negativity of our best-in-class scaling solutions.
