Polygon Sponsors Startup Weekend Global 2022

Even the most accomplished startups need guidance, whether that’s learning the ropes of the industry when you’re just starting out, or finding the best talent for your team, or approaching problems with creative solutions.

That’s why Polygon has become a global sponsor of Techstars Startup Weekend Global 2022!

We want to help the best minds of this generation make the economies of tomorrow. From Dec. 9 – March 4, startups looking for more support with their blockchain businesses will dive deep into the metaverse and find mentorship, learn to build together, and pitch funders during one of the world’s most innovative, dizzying Web3 hackathons.

Startup Weekend is the largest grassroots entrepreneurship program in the world. It brings together visionaries and dreamers to redefine the boundaries of what’s possible. Since 2009, the campaign has engaged 500,000 participants at 7,000 events across 160 countries.

This year, Startup Weekend is digital and anyone, anywhere can participate. In a game-like environment rendered by Gather.Town. Realtime engagements will be possible so that hackers can find a crew and get to work. Teams looking for ideas or experimenting with blockchain technology for the first time will find all they need in a helpful hacking toolkit. And meetings with seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, and other mentors will help startups hash out their ideas and prototypes before they spin up a full product.

After weeks of workshops and iterating products on the blockchain, groups will submit pitch videos. Shortlisted projects have one more chance to wow judges, after which the winners will be announced across different “battlefields” of categories, including:

Gaming
