Wipro Deploys Falcon Industrial Supply Chain Management Platform on Polygon PoS

Shell, the incubator of Falcon concept, initiates a pilot test of the comprehensive platform designed for overseeing equipment data across global supply chains

Wipro, a major technology services and consulting company focused on building innovative solutions, has announced that Falcon—an end-to-end platform for managing equipment data across global supply chains—has launched on Polygon PoS.

Shell, which incubated the Falcon concept and supported Wipro in its development, is taking the lead as its first adopter starting with the pilot version later this year and early 2024. Falcon taps into a demand for a solution offering the added security of blockchains safeguarding the integrity and immutability of data exchanged across the industry supply chain.

Falcon ties objects in the physical world to the immutable ledger on Polygon PoS, one of the most-used blockchain protocols in the world. The project is built on an account abstraction product suite that makes it easier to implement blockchain technology across legacy systems for a seamless and intuitive user experience.

New Solutions for Old Problems

Supply chain management as it exists right now is fractured between disparate software applications and databases, resulting in many small inefficiencies that add up.These siloed systems are difficult to audit and make it easier to counterfeit equipment.

Falcon allows manufacturers, buyers and operators to track heavy equipment through its full life-cycle, from fabrication to procurement to deprecation, by offering a single source of truth and a data-centric approach to authentication, verification and trackability. Falcon will have a direct impact on the bottom line of energy companies, with up to 20% efficiencies across the supply chain document management, expediting and inspection planning activities.

How Falcon Works

At the heart of Falcon is a digital passport that links each piece of equipment to a unique digital ID giving every authorized user easy access to all the information generated along its lifecycle in a trustworthy, traceable and frictionless manner. The passport’s immutable history ensures end-to-end visibility that only decentralized platforms can offer.

Wipro, one of the world’s top IT services companies, is joining tens of thousands of decentralized applications already building on Polygon PoS. The network is home to some of the biggest Web3 projects and well-known enterprises, including Adidas, Stripe and Adobe.

Together, we can build an equitable future for all through the mass adoption of Web3!
