tl;dr
- Credible Finance is a payments infrastructure company that routes and underwrites stablecoin payments using Polygon Chain
- Credible has processed $152M+ in stablecoin payments on Polygon through its payments infrastructure
- Five active segments settle through Polygon: stablecoin fintechs, traders and brokers, creator platforms, B2B trade, and gaming and sports.
- Global businesses can now collect and pay across borders in seconds, on rails that used to take three to seven days through correspondent banks.
Credible, an emerging fintech infrastructure company routing and underwriting stablecoin payments, has powered more than $150M in volume on Polygon since Q1, and surged past $700M in total global payments since first launching in Q1 2026.
Credible routes stablecoin payments between businesses and underwrites the risk on each transaction, the same job a correspondent bank does today, just without the settlement lag and higher fees. Fintechs, brokers, creator platforms, and trade businesses plug in once and get global payout rails in return.
By building its routing and underwriting logic on Polygon Chain, Credible taps into near-instant finality and low-cost transactions.
We designed Polygon Chain to settle in seconds, not days, and every settlement is final the moment it confirms, with no correspondent bank in the middle to delay or reverse it, and no excessive fee extraction.
Here's a breakdown of what’s driving Credible’s volume.
Money is global, but the rails aren’t
Modern businesses are global from day one.
A startup in San Francisco can sign a customer in Lagos, São Paulo, or Manila before lunch. Paying that customer back, or collecting from them, still runs through a string of correspondent banking built for a slower era, with extractive fees.
But the demand is global and instant.
Polygon’s Open Money Stack (OMS) brings one integration for companies like Credible, so they don’t have to worry about stitching together multiple vendors, and can focus instead on building their product. OMS brings out-of-the-box global rails for stablecoin payments.
Credible’s integration is a proofpoint.
How it works
From the outside, Credible looks like a strong entrant to the fintech space.
A business plugs it in the way it would any payment gateway, and customers pay through the local methods they already use.
Underneath, though, every transaction runs through a tighter loop on Polygon. Credible's routing engine picks the processor with the highest approval rate for that specific payment. AI-scored underwriting prices the risk in real time. Onchain stablecoin liquidity fronts the funds so the money lands immediately, executed on Polygon, so the business receives stablecoins or fiat in USD, EUR, or GBP.
The experience for the end customer stays familiar, while settlement becomes instant.
Where the volume is flowing
Credible's volume is concentrated in five high-velocity segments that need fast settlement:
- Stablecoin fintechs: remittance volume across corridors like USA to India and Brazil to Germany. The engine room of the volume
- B2B trade: cross-border supplier and partner payments that used to sit in banking limbo for days
- Traders and brokers: global OTC desks and prime brokers reaching emerging markets
- Creator platforms: tips, subscriptions, and instant creator payouts across dozens of countries
- Gaming and sports: in-game purchases and tournament payouts at high volume
Why Credible runs on Polygon
Credible was clear about why Polygon was its first choice of EVM chain: no other network it evaluated matched Polygon's focus on payments. The team laid out the full reasoning here.
We built the Open Money Stack for exactly the shape of volume Credible is now moving. High-frequency, low-margin, global. Finality measured in seconds, not hours. Fees small enough that they don't erode the economics of a $50 remittance or a $2 creator tip.
Under the load Credible is putting through, both hold.
Polygon Chain now finalizes in roughly five seconds and can handle more than 5,000 payments per second, after a series of chain upgrades. Our payments-industry work continues to compound with every partner that ships.
Fast, and predictable
Instant settlement is only useful if it stays safe and predictable.
The moment you front funds before traditional rails clear, you take on risk that has to be priced correctly, transaction by transaction. Credible scores every payment in real time, routes it to the processor most likely to approve at the lowest cost, and underwrites the liquidity before deploying it. What used to be slow, backward-looking manual work becomes a real-time decision made thousands of times a day.
That's what lets Credible move fast without moving recklessly.
What's next
In just one quarter, Credible routed $150M+ in stablecoin volume through Polygon.
There's a lot more coming.
Payments are being rebuilt to run at internet speed instead of banking speed, and the businesses that win will be the ones whose capital is never stuck in transit. Money should move as fast as the businesses that depend on it.
More of it moves onto Polygon every day.
