ETHVietnam, an inaugural event that established the country as a thriving hub of Ethereum and blockchain innovation, wrapped up last week and Polygon was there to support the amazing Viet developer community.

With over 1,800 attendees, more than 250 hacker teams and 200 plus speakers, moderators and experts, the event was a smashing success. In case you missed it, here's Polygon's rundown of why ETHVietnam was the week's biggest story.

In the runup to the event, Polygon’s devrel engineer Manny delivered a deep-dive into Polygon ID, our secure and open-source identity solution based on zero-knowledge cryptography. The online workshop outlined why solutions like Polygon ID are indispensable to digital ownership and gave developers access to resources and technical documentation to get started ahead of the main hackathon.

On Nov. 24, Ho Chi Minh City played host to over 250 teams at the BUIDLATHON in the Danang Room of the Independence Palace. Polygon awarded $10,000 in prizes and bounties to the top projects chosen from 41 submissions. The winning team took home $3,000, while second and third-place finishers received $2,000 and $1,000, respectively. Polygon also awarded $500 to each of the eight runner-up projects. Congrats to all the winners!

Enterprise use cases for blockchain technology and key market trends was the topic of a fireside chat titled "Web 3 Adoption in Enterprises" by Polygon's VP Enterprise APAC Arpit Sharma and Jeffrey Tchui, Partner & Head of Consulting at BCW Group.

Polygon's developer relations APAC lead Kevin Ang took part in a panel discussion about the importance of Layer-2 solutions. Ang outlined how Polygon prioritizes the needs of builders and developers and gives them the freedom and tools they need to create in Web3. He also encouraged developers to check out Polygon zkEVM testnet, the next big thing in Ethereum scaling.

Meanwhile on the subcontinent, Polygon's Web3: Made in India roadshow is winding down with its stop in Bangalore to celebrate ETHIndia. Check it out and stay tuned to the latest from our ecosystem on the Polygon blog
