British consumer tech start-up Nothing is officially integrating Polygon into its ecosystem of products to unlock Web3 access. The Polygon-Nothing partnership is marked by the launch of Nothing’s non-fungible token (NFT) loyalty program.

Specifically designed for the Nothing community, the NFT loyalty program — built on Polygon — will allow members access to exclusive community content; unlock special perks such as discounts on merchandise; gain entry into unique offline events, and more.

Members of Nothing’s private community will be able to register their wallets and subsequently claim their first Black Dot.

This launch is designed to take the Nothing brand beyond consumer tech, making it one of the first in the sector to bridge real-world products with the fast-growing Web3 space. In the future, the goal is to make all of Nothing’s phone products and other ecosystem devices future-ready by supporting sustainable and secure access to Web3 applications.

The partnership comes ahead of the launch of its highly anticipated Nothing phone (1). The phone (1) is designed to be a new generation of smartphone, rebuilt from the ground up and future-proofed. More information will be revealed soon about the phone (1) at the upcoming Nothing (event): Return to Instinct on July 16th.

In line with Polygon’s carbon-neutral network and commitment to go carbon-negative by the end of 2022, Nothing's foray into Web3 will be founded upon a sustainable and environmentally conscious basis. Nothing has worked with internationally recognized third parties to assess the environmental impact of its products. They have also neutralized some of their carbon footprint by offsetting the electricity used in their manufacturing processes. Nothing has also purchased carbon credits using the Verified Carbon Standard to offset their products' additional emissions.
