Aragon Client, a project on Ethereum that makes the creation and management of DAOs easy for users, has now been deployed on Polygon.

Aragon is building the future of Web3 communities, but the space is growing at such a pace that it has outgrown the current capacity of Ethereum, making management and voting on decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) prohibitively expensive. In need of scaling solutions, Aragon has embarked on a multi-chain strategy, beginning with Polygon. Aragon is a network of decentralized autonomous organizations building a digital framework for the future.

What does this mean to the community?

Aragon is using Polygon as a full-stack scaling solution. Integrating with Polygon cuts the cost sharply from over $500 on Ethereum, to around $0.1 on Polygon. This is a comparable reduction in the cost of management and voting. It improves transaction speeds and user experience on Aragon.

This announcement marks a significant step towards the evolution of DAOs as DAO creators will now have an option to enable them to deploy fast and efficient DAOs directly onto Polygon, enjoying scalability and near-zero fees on the Polygon POS chain.

Polygon shares a vision with Aragon for an open, borderless world. Trusted by hundreds of crypto projects, Polygon has gained considerable traction including the decentralized finance (DeFi) and DAOs.

Sandeep Nailwal, Co-Founder of Polygon, said, “Ethereum has become the default blockchain for supporting the burgeoning DeFi economy that enables anyone, including the unbanked, to access key financial services like savings, lending, and insurance. But, Ethereum was not designed for DeFi, which is why we built Polygon — to provide a solution to Ethereum’s scalability”

Luis Cuende, co-founder and executive director of the Aragon Association, conveyed that Aragon shares Polygon’s dream of a fully decentralized ecosystem of dapps empowering users to deploy fast and efficient DAOs directly onto Polygon by utilizing the Aragon Client.

About Polygon

Polygon is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building and connecting Secured Chains like Optimistic Rollups, zkRollups, Validium, etc, and Standalone Chains like Polygon POS, designed for flexibility and independence. Polygon’s scaling solutions have seen widespread adoption with 500+ Dapps, ~567M+ transactions, and ~6M+ daily transactions.

If you’re an Ethereum Developer, you’re already a Polygon developer! Leverage Polygon’s fast and secure transactions for your Dapp, get started here.
