New Polygon PoS Staking Service is Live - Improved Experience, Similar Feel

Polygon is rolling out a new and improved Staking Service that makes it easy for anyone to earn rewards by becoming a Delegator or setting up a node to help secure the network. The team’s goal was to deliver an enhanced experience to end-users without disrupting the look, feel, or functionality of the original service.

So, what exactly changed? Let’s take a look…

Improved Design & Performance for a Better User Experience

  • The new interface is super fast with a lot of performance improvement. The requests now take less time to complete for delegation, moving stakes, withdrawing rewards and many more operations.
  • Not only has the staking tool been bolstered for better performance, the Staking Service has broken away from the Polygon Wallet Suite and found a new home at staking.polygon.technology. As a standalone app, the Staking Service is now more accessible and easier to find—making it a more enjoyable experience for end-users.
  • Powered by Web3Modal component: In addition to the existing set of wallets such as MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Bitski, Torus, and WalletConnect, Polygon Staking now enables quick and easy integration of additional Web3 wallets of your choice.
  • Switch Between the Mainnet & Testnet: advanced users can test the power of Polygon’s Staking tool without the commitment by switching to the Goerli testnet—a no-risk demo environment that mimics the real thing.
  • End users will benefit from an improved error handling experience as well as enhanced messaging and loaders.

The staking service allows anyone to become a validator or a delegator on the Polygon PoS mainnet and earn network rewards for producing, verifying and finally submitting transaction checkpoints on Ethereum, abiding by a set of algorithms. Your rewards depend on the amount of $MATIC staked and the transactions in the network.
