Polygon, Alan Howard and Cope Studio Partner on a Moonshot Factory for Web3
Polygon is joining hands with Brevan Howard co-founder Alan Howard and Cope.Studio to create a moonshot factory for taking Web3 projects from an idea to product launch.
It is still early days for Web3, which means a time for exploration and experimentation. Together, the partners will set up new product labs, studios and fund bold ideas. Guided by the principles of design, innovation and immersion, the initiative will offer a full-stack investment, support and product layer to accelerate mainstream adoption of Web3 applications.
“There is so much work to be done and we need to make sure that the most daring founders, the most inspired projects and the most ground-breaking products have the fuel needed to reach escape velocity,” said Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder at Polygon. “As we work to make Ethereum the home of Web3, I could not think of a more diverse partnership to help us on this mission.”
Cope.Studio brings together design, NFTs, DAOs, and VR/AR with a focus on Metaverse to collaborate with creators on product launches. Since its founding in 2021, the startup has already worked with over 50 products, projects and companies on their blockchain initiatives.
Alan Howard is a legendary hedge fund manager and a prolific backer of Web3 projects.
Polygon is a destination for some of Web3’s biggest projects, from DeFi protocols such as lending platform Aave to luxury brands company Dolce & Gabbana and NFT marketplaces including OpenSea and Mark Cuban’s Lazy.com. More than 7,000 decentralized apps (dApps) are currently building on Polygon, making it the main destination for Web3 projects.
